Driving into Homer

The drive into Homer is truly spectacular.  Homer sits on Prince William Sound directly across from a snowy mountain range — you see water and peaks for as far as the eye can see.  Our B&B (from which all of the pictures below were taken) has a wonderful view of it all.  We spent a little time this evening settling in, and then went to a fabulous restaurant not far from here.  Dinner was yummy:  side-stripe shrimp fresh from the Sound and a halibut/shrimp/sundried tomato fettucine dish.  We were worried that the food in Alaska would be dreary, but so far, that hasn’t been the case!
